1. IMPERSONATION FRAUD

NHW Co-ordinator Paul Lightfoot passes on this police message:

The most common type of fraud reported to North Yorkshire Police is where the victim is contacted on the telephone by someone claiming to be from the police, or the tax office or a tech company who then persuade you to go to the bank or log on to your online banking. This is an excellent and easy to follow guide on how best to safeguard yourselves. Please share amongst your contacts. The more people we educate, the better protected we are https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fy-RSQfwLDw

2. REMEMBRANCE DAY CHURCH SERVICE

Peter Walker writes:

A reminder to Welbury residents that there is no church service at St Leonard’s this coming Sunday, 19th November. There is however a Remembrance Day service at St Lawrence East Rounton, commencing at 10.30am.

If you don’t want to attend the church service but would like to remember those who gave their lives in wars, you are welcome to join the church congregation at the War Memorial in East Rounton at 11am for the laying of wreathes and observance of a minute’s silence.
